Details: Here at the LFD we have reserve engine apparatus, reserve ladder apparatus, and reserve EC units. To ensure continued service from the Bike Medic program, the LFD Garage has seen fit to add a reserve bike patrol unit to the backup fleet, painted to match the front-line units of course.

Subject: LFD House Building Trip to Mississippi

Details: In late October, 6 current and retired members of the LFD traveled to Katrina-ravaged Pascagoula, Mississippi to help build a house for Pascagoula Firefighter Charles McMillan, his wife Michelle and their four children. In seven days the LFD members framed the entire home, put it under roof and installed the windows greatly aiding the McMillan Family which lost their home in Hurricane Katrina. LFD members building the home included: Major Ed Moore, FF John Roby, FF Brian Singleton, FF Randy Patterson, FF Derik Stanifer, and retired Captain Max Hellmueller.
